Social Media Specialist

Reporting to the Sr. Content Marketing Manager, the Social Media Marketing Specialist serving as the point of contact on existing and emerging social media and social media marketing, including curating content and managing organic and paid social media strategies on behalf of Adworkshop clients. The ideal candidate will have a history of success interfacing with clients to understand needs and develop a compelling story to drive social media content.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Become the agency resource for social media industry trends and in-platform opportunities
  • Create engaging organic social media campaigns that result in channel growth, high levels of engagement, referrals, and social buzz
  • Create and manage client content calendar(s) governing the release of content
  • Create social media strategies (organic and inorganic) and manage day-to-day social media workflow
  • Integrate social media tactics including native advertising, search marketing, creative design, public relations, etc.
  • Monitor and ensure all social media work is completed on time and under budget
  • Support Account Executive(s) in social media specific client facing activities
  • Work collaboratively with key colleagues to identify new integrated opportunities
  • Identify compelling stories and write engaging, newsworthy copy in support of both social media and all other digital needs (websites, paid social ads, email marketing campaigns, etc.)
  • Participate in Agency advocacy work by writing for social properties
  • Assist with content creation and public relations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience - required 
  • A minimum of 2 years professional success in a formal communications role - required
  • Demonstrated professional success in a formal social media role - required
  • A history of excellence in active research, listening, writing, and story-telling - required
  • Demonstrated success rapidly building and maintaining relationships – required
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, dynamic ‘get it done’ environment - required
  • Advanced Degree with leadership, business or communications focus - desired
