Business Development Coordinator/Account Manager

Adworkshop is seeking a creative and savvy Business Development Coordinator/Account Manager to support our growing agency.

The candidate hired for this role will support the agency in two functions - Business Development Coordinator (50% of time) and Account Management (50% of the time). Reporting to the Director of Client Services, the Business Development Coordinator / Account Manager will support the agency’s new business development efforts by providing administrative support to the Account Executives and assist with spearheading marketing initiatives and planning on behalf of clients, proactively seeking new opportunities to generate incremental revenue for clients, activating and monitoring performance of marketing programs and diligently overseeing and managing client budgets.

The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented and always focused on solutions, detail and deadline oriented, ambitious and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

How You'll Make An Impact:

  • Responsible for tracking and updating leads, opportunities and new business projects and initiatives
  • Attend new business qualification meetings ensuring meeting minutes are captured and appropriate follow-on actions are taken post meeting
  • Assist with responding to RFP and RFI proposals, presentations and work agreements by preparing, proofreading and formatting materials
  • Conduct research and assemble findings for Account Executives
  • Coordinate travel and new business pitch meeting logistics for Accounts team
  • Assist in the development of promotional materials for new business development efforts ensuring alignment with self-promotion team
  • Represent Adworkshop at client, industry & community functions with a focus on identifying, nurturing & closing new business
  • Manage day-to-day activities for designated client accounts ensuring projects are on track to meet deadlines and within budget and escalate account/project concerns accordingly
  • Conduct research, assemble findings and analyze as needed to assist Account Executives in the development of creative briefs or other related client documents
  • Ensure understanding of agency clients’ brands/products/services/marketing developments
  • Attend client meetings and record meeting minutes to be distributed upon request
  • Assist and participate in the preparation of new business pitches
  • Proactively up sell or seek additionally projects/new business from client contacts
  • Ensure creative/production materials including copy, layouts, and production art are checked and approved prior to forwarding to client for final approval
  • Review billing to ensure accuracy and confirm agency receipt of accounts receivable
  • Represent Adworkshop at client, industry & community functions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent experience required
  • History of success in advertising across varying markets, segments & roles
  • Experience in client-facing roles requiring outstanding verbal & written communication & confidence among leadership
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and prioritizing deliverables day-to-day
  • Proven success learning quickly and translating learning into practice and results
  • Demonstrated success rapidly building and maintaining relationships
  • A history of excellence in communication, active listening, risk mitigation & problem solving
  • a desire to continue learning and growing
