Account Executive

Adworkshop is seeking an energetic and charismatic Account Executive to service our clients across New York State. 

The Account Executive leads the entire account value stream from strategic marketing plan to the successful delivery of the work product. The Account Executive has responsibility for the overall success of all accounts under their watch.  Setting & managing expectations (shared vision) between client & Adworkshop, attention to delivery quality/cost/time, project/execution leadership and overcoming objections are all critical in the successful management of the account lifecycle.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Be the sole expert on clients’ changing market positions, new offerings and/or pivots in business and be able to effectively use that information to outline latent needs and brief Adworkshop team 
  • Represent Adworkshop at client, industry & community functions with a focus on building relationships while identifying, nurturing & closing new business
  • Relentless focus on quality, on time, execution without losing focus on future opportunity with same (up sell) or new clients
  • Be the single point of contact for all communications with client; from initial Voice of Customer/discovery through delivery of proposal, work products (copy, layout, art, strategic marketing, media & public relations plans) & eventual billing
  • Utilize in-house processes & tools (traffic) as well as customer contact to stay out in front of Adworkshop’s day-to-day execution and ensure it meets customer needs on time & budget
  • Assemble, final review (prior to release to client) & present all materials (work products & billing) to clients
  • Manage objections & steward feedback into Adworkshop 
  • Travel as well as leverage video conferencing to stay in front of the customer
  • Brief Director Client Services & Adworkshop Sr. Leaders on a predetermined frequency, escalate ‘issues’ as required for prompt accurate resolution

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent experience required 
  • Advanced Degree with leadership focus desired
  • Prior success in "Marketing" agency or in-house
  • Demonstrated success in prior customer facing roles
  • History of success in managing complex deliverables
  • Repeated success seeing the positive through the noise
  • Demonstrated success rapidly building and maintaining relationships
  • A history of excellence in communication, active listening, risk mitigation & problem-solving
  • A desire to continue learning and growing
