The Adirondack Community Trust is one of 650 community foundations in the United States and Canada. ACT was created to help philanthropically inclined individuals maximize the impact of their giving. Community foundations are a collection of funds made through gifts- both large and small- that are pooled and managed by a board of Trustees. The income from these funds is distributed as grants to support deserving nonprofit organizations that are making a difference in our communities.
