|
LAKE PLACID, NY – Adworkshop, The North Country’s leading employee-owned marketing agency, announces the addition of three new faces to its growing Internet team: Martin Marks, Andrew Carolla and Chris Panza.
Both Chris and Martin join the Adworkshop team as Web Developers. Martin previously worked as a private IT consultant, and is the former webmaster for several Web sites. Prior to joining Adworkshop’s Internet Team, he worked for the International Institute of Buffalo as a systems administrator. Martin will assist in executing interactive and web-based projects.
Before joining the Adworkshop team, Chris worked as a quality assurance engineer and team coordinator in Connecticut. With his background in graphic design and multimedia branding, Chris will handle multiple projects for Adworkshop’s clients.
As Adworkshop’s new Internet Creative Designer, Andrew’s involvement in the step-by-step process of web design and illustration, including maintaining projects upon completion, will be essential for upcoming web-based projects. Andrew’s background is in Web site design and development, including graphic design and digital media.
“As our internet-based projects and client list grow, Adworkshop continues to look for talented team members to help with the increasing workload,” said General Manager Darcy Norfolk. “We are proud to have Chris, Martin and Andrew on our team and look forward to moving the company forward together.”

Adworkshop Launches Mobile Mirror Lake Inn Site |
|
LAKE PLACID, NY - Adworkshop, the largest full-service marketing communications company in the North Country, recently launched a mobile Web site for the Mirror Lake Inn Resort & Spa. Located in Lake Placid, the owners of this four-diamond resort wanted guests "on-the-go" to be able to quickly access information about its spa, three restaurants, location, and more.
"As the popularity of smart phones continues to escalate, we wanted to ensure the Mirror Lake Inn could have an easily accessible mobile website," said Jon Bouman, the agency's media director.
Designed and launched as a simple, five-page site, it allows smart phone users to automatically access this user-friendly mobile version when they point to the regular Web site from their phones. In addition, Adworkshop is running a paid mobile search marketing campaign to reach smart phone users who are in Lake Placid and want to search for dining or spa services.

Adworkshop and Fort Drum Partner on DVD |
|
LAKE PLACID, NY - The Fort Drum Regional Liaison Organization (FDRLO) started the new decade with the release of "Welcome to Drum Country," a twenty-one minute promotional video.
The DVD, developed with Adworkshop, took four months to produce, was filmed over a five-day period, includes interviews from more than thirty-five people and, in its final edit, incorporates fifteen-hundred cuts from one scene to the next. The video's target audience is newly assigned soldiers and those entertaining reassignment options at Fort Drum, and his/her family members.
It became a necessity to advertise the benefits of Drum Country living after a study on military personnel housing and labor force issues was conducted for the FDRLO by Robert D. Niehaus, Inc. The 2008 survey indicated that more Soldiers than expected have dependents that do not chose to accompany the Soldier to Fort Drum.
Building on the DrumCountry.com website, the DVD focuses on six quality of life categories: housing, schools, medical services, career opportunities, communities and recreation. Within each category, concerns of an entire family are addressed: the soldier, the spouse and other family members, according to The Liaison.
