LAKE PLACID, NY - The business community is one of the fastest growing users of social media, relying on sites such as Facebook and Twitter to educate, network and increase business. Adworkshop is offering the following social media workshop dates to help local businesses grow their social network channel.
Social Media Workshop for Beginners Wednesday, July 14, 9:30 am to 12 noon Thursday, July 15, 9:30 am to 12 noon Wednesday, July 21, 9:30 am to 12 noon

Adworkshop will walk participants through the basic fundamentals of setting up business accounts with Facebook, Twitter, and emerging new media such as foursquare. A 90-minute overview presentation, using illustration through example, will start the session and the last hour will be dedicated to hands-on assistance in the group setting. Participants will be given useful social networking tips and techniques to optimize their social marketing and engage effectively in this growing marketing channel.

Adworkshop Leads Discussion on Advanced Digital TV |

LAKE PLACID, NY - Over the past three years, Adworkshop has become one of the country's leading purchasers of new digital interactive TV applications for clients. Adworkshop Principal, Tom Connors, will be the guest speaker during an interactive TV discussion with Time Warner Cable corporate division offices and digital sales managers from across the country June 22, 2010. Tom will discuss how he uses the new advanced interactive TV digital products like EBIF, Optimum Select (allows consumers interact with TV commercials to get information, coupons, samples and items in the mail from advertisers and merchants), Telescoping (an interactive TV overlay that allows advertisers to extend messaging about their product or service on demand), VOD (video-on-demand) and POD (promotions-on-demand).
In addition to taking questions from the panel of Time Warner execs, Tom will also discuss areas where account executives can improve their advanced digital product sales and how to avoid common mistakes.
Adworkshop has 11 clients using these new advanced digital products throughout markets in the Northeast. Adworkshop was an early adapter of digital TV advertising and continues to be a leader in this field. LAKE PLACID, NY - Adworkshop, the North Country's leading employee-owned tradigital marketing agency, took home four advertising and creative design awards at the 37th Annual Nori Awards held June 11th in Saratoga Springs, NY.
The Nori Awards are presented by the Ad Club of Albany and represent the culmination of a year's innovative thought and execution in advertising, broadcast television, radio, private industry, academia, marketing and public relations. More than 40 agencies submitted hundreds of entries for consideration in this year's Nori Awards. Adworkshop won awards in four categories:

Award winners were selected by a panel of seven judges from varied and distinguished marketing and advertising backgrounds. Producer/Account Executive Kari Hoffman, Senior Art Director Anne Rast and Senior Designer Geoff Sanford accepted Adworkshop's 2010 Nori Awards on behalf of Adworkshop.

LAKE PLACID, NY - Adworkshop, the North Country's employee-owned marketing agency, continues to cultivate a talented staff with the recent addition of Chelsea Soules as Traffic and Production Assistant.
Chelsea is a 2009 graduate from Drexel University with a degree in business administration concentrating in marketing. She brings to Adworkshop previous experience in corporate real estate and research. She recently assisted Adworkshop with the implementation of its new internal collaborative system before becoming a full-time employee.
In her role as a Traffic and Production Assistant, Chelsea will oversee the work flow of projects from start to completion. She will also provide additional assistance to the growing Interactive team. In addition, she will continue to spearhead additional phases of the collaborative system roll-out, implemented for greater internal communications and efficiencies.
"Chelsea's work ethic and dedication were quickly noticed during our collaborative system roll-out. We are pleased that she is now an official member of our Adworkshop family," states Adworkshop General Manager Darcy Norfolk.

LAKE PLACID, NY - Adworkshop's General Manager, Darcy Norfolk, will join community leaders from across New York State at Clarkson University for the North Country Technology Symposium. Darcy will present on government website strategies and opportunities in the Government and Community Services track from 3-4 pm. The North Country Technology Symposium 2010 is the first event of its kind to be hosted in St. Lawrence County and will offer an outlet for community leaders to tackle each represented industry's hot button issues. Adworkshop is also exhibiting, providing additional access to questions and services. Pre-registration for this event is required, and is open through May 5.
